How do you make money in Lagos Life?
Last updated: 2026-10-16
You earn in-game naira by working full shifts, levelling job skills, doing side gigs and investing in businesses like the 150,000 Recharge & Data Kiosk — but this money is virtual only and can never be cashed out for real money.
These methods come from community data-mined guides and a Nairaland job-listing thread, not from the developer, so exact numbers may change as the game updates.
Details
Work the full shift: leaving early docks your pay, and winning all four in-shift tasks earns a +15% Employee of the Shift bonus. Each of the 33 careers has 5 pay levels, from 7,400 per shift as a dishwasher up to 99,000 per shift as an Afrobeats Giant.
Side gigs fill the gaps: Balogun Market portering pays 2,250 per run and trains Fitness; skilled gigs like freelance coding and open-mic comedy scale with your skill levels.
Invest early: the Recharge & Data Kiosk costs 150,000 and nets roughly 700–3,200 a day (about 77 days to break even), then a POS stand (500,000), a buka, or far larger ventures like trucking or Ibeju-Lekki land.
Watch the drains: Saturday rent (2,400–1,500,000 a week depending on where you live), a 20–45% tax on weekly income above 1,000,000, jail fines for crime, and a 5% fee on player-to-player transfers.
